My name is Marissa, as some of you may know and some of you are finding out. I am just now starting a blog like so many others because it seems like a nice creative outlet, as well as a way for me to see my story. This is my first blog so please bare with me, because its probably going to take me a little bit to get everything straight and pretty looking. First off I want to explain the title of my blog - "Follow the Yellow Brick Road". The idea is that when Dorothy started off on the yellow brick road she assumed it would probably just be a nice stroll through the park, which would lead her to the Great and Powerful Wizard of Oz, which in turn would send her home. Like she wanted. Well the reality was that her journey was far from a stroll through the park, and it was filled with utter and complete madness. I mean how would you like to have had a bunch of talking trees yelling at you and pelting apples at you? This is the turn that my life (and probebly many others) have taken. We started out thinking everything was swell and if we just did things right everything would turn out fine. Then the problems arose- eating disorder, cutting, depression, drugs, trama, a number of things (whatever it may be). I honestly don't know what I am expecting out of this blog, infact I don't even know if I will get an viewers. For those of you that know me this is a way for you to get to know me a little more. For those that don't know me, this is me.
